  • What are the benefits of using misting systems?
Misting systems offer several benefits including cooling outdoor areas, reducing dust and allergens, and enhancing plant growth. They are energy-efficient and can create a more comfortable environment in hot weather.
  • Are misting systems safe?
Yes! Misting systems are completely safe when installed correctly. They use clean water and are designed to be environmentally friendly. Our systems also use fine mist, not large droplets, so they won't leave surfaces drenched.
  • How do I maintain a misting system?
Maintenance is simple! Regularly clean the nozzles to prevent buildup, check the hoses for leaks, and inspect the system for any needed repairs. We also offer maintenance services to keep everything running smoothly year-round.
  • Are misting systems energy-efficient?
Yes, misting systems are energy-efficient. They use minimal electricity to operate the pump and can significantly reduce the need for air conditioning in outdoor spaces, leading to lower energy consumption overall.
  • How do misting systems work?
Misting systems work by forcing water through small nozzles to create a fine mist. This mist evaporates quickly, cooling the surrounding air. The process is known as evaporative cooling and is highly effective in hot climates.
  • Will a misting system attract insects like mosquitoes?
No, in fact, misting systems can help deter mosquitoes. The fine mist disrupts their flight patterns and can make your outdoor space less appealing to these pests. You’ll be able to enjoy the outdoors without the constant swatting!
  • How long does it take to install a misting system?
The installation time for a misting system can vary depending on the size and complexity of the system. Generally, a basic misting system can be installed within a few hours, while more complex systems may take a day or more.
  • Can I install a misting system for my business?
Absolutely! Misting systems are perfect for commercial spaces like patios, outdoor seating areas, and event venues. They not only enhance comfort but also create a welcoming environment for your customers. Contact us for a consultation on the best system for your business needs.

  • Customer Retention
According to the National Restaurant Association, retaining customers and attracting new customers are two of the most important factors in developing and maintaining a successful restaurant business. Researchers at Harvard found that increasing return visits by just 5% can increase profits anywhere from 25% to 125%. It is also notable that returning customers can make up almost 50% of a restaurant’s revenue - up to 71% at casual dining restaurants! Repeat customers are more likely to recommend restaurants to people they know, which helps spread word about your business.
  • Enjoy your cool space!
It’s installed and you’re ready to enjoy our promise of cool summer days and great new memories outdoors. You will be amazed how much more livable your patio will feel. A low cost upgrade feels as though you should’ve done this a long time ago. All questions, servicing, and winterizing of the equipment is just one phone call away.
  • Return on Investment
There are many ways to evaluate return on investment. One direct impact of inclement weather, specifically on restaurants and breweries, is reducing their ability to turn tables. In a full service restaurant with an average check per person of $15 to $25 and a seat turnover time of 1 hour, a patio dining space of 10 four-seat tables generates revenue of up to $2,998. per 3-hour lunch period. At full capacity, during an average summer, a restaurant could lose over $350,000 in revenue over a 4 month span if they lose those seats to weather. Considering a Austin Misting Company misting system may cost under $4000 for this size space, the return on the initial investment is realized in a very short time.
  • Customer Aquisition
Acquiring a new customers can be 5 to 7 times more expensive than retaining an existing one, which means that a you need effecient and inexpensive solutions to acquire new customers and a strong plan for retaining existing ones. According to Restaurant.org, 92% of customers cite word of mouth as the most important reason for trying out a new restaurant, especially when the recommendation comes from friends and family. With these factors in mind, it’s clear how important it is to come up with strategies to draw in new customers and keep existing ones.
  • Misting Systems & Guest Comfort
Austin Misting Company makes reaching your business goals easier and more efficient, and gives you an actionable step to increasing revenue and profits. One of the major influences in generating repeat customers is creating a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Even with excellent service and friendly wait staff, guest comfort is critical. In the hot summer months, outdoor patios can turn from enjoyable to uncomfortable. Without outdoor cooling systems in place, guest avoid patio dining and may choose other establishment where seating is available or where they can dine outdoors in a cooler environment.
  • Word of Mouth
Guest comfort is not only important to retain customers but to generating new customers as well. It is a well-researched fact that when customers have an exceptional engagement with an establishment, whether restaurant, brewery, or any business, they tend to leave reviews on online platforms like Google and Yelp and will tell friends and family about their experience. They amy even take to social media to share their thoughts, which can influence an even wider audience. When guests have a mediocre experience, oftentimes they are not likely to feel it is worth sharing. However, when a business adds an extra element of comfort or luxury to a dining space, guests leave impressed and satisfied. According to NextRestaurants, a customer can be valued at about $700 a year if they are a repeat customer.
  • Design
Complex designs and floor plans are less cost effective than a simple, straightforward layout. No matter how complex or simple you vision your system to be, we will work with your budget and timeline to keep costs low and system effectiveness high.
  • Location
We are based in Austin, Texas. For installations further than 2 hours from our office, an additional fuel charge is added.
  • Total Coverage
Larger coverage areas will require more nozzles, larger pumps, and longer lengths of piping than small areas. We custom design each fogging and misting installation to make the most efficient and effective use of the space and mitigate excess equipment and cost.
  • Equipment
We have a large variety of pumps, nozzles, and piping options to ensure we can design to every budget. During assessment of each project, we evaluate your unique space and budget, make recommendations, and order equipment custom fitted for your project.
  • Are misting systems safe for barns and enclosures?
Yes! They’re designed to work safely around animals and in open-air structures. In fact, proper cooling can reduce the risk of heat-related illness and create a healthier environment for both animals and workers.
  • Can I customize the misting system for different zones or animals?
You bet. We can design systems with zoned control—so you can cool the milking area, horse stalls, or greenhouse independently, based on your needs.
  • Can misting help in greenhouses or plant nurseries?
Absolutely. Misting helps regulate temperature and humidity, reduces plant stress, and promotes healthier growth. It's a great way to keep your greens thriving without overwatering.
  • Will my animals get soaked?
Not at all. High-pressure misting systems produce a super-fine mist that evaporates before it hits the ground—or your animals. So they stay cool, not soggy.
  • How do misting systems help with livestock cooling?
Misting systems lower the surrounding temperature by releasing ultra-fine water droplets that evaporate instantly, creating a cooling effect. This helps reduce heat stress in animals, which can improve comfort, productivity, and even weight gain in livestock like cattle, horses, goats, and poultry.
  • What kind of maintenance do these systems need?
Not much! Regular filter checks, occasional nozzle cleaning, and seasonal shut-down/start-up procedures keep everything running smoothly. Our team can handle all of it if you’d rather leave it to the pros.
